A Valiant Effort

U16s faced tough opposition in awful conditions when faced with Airedale, they took a while to adjust to the conditions but a well organised Airedale took their chances well to open a 3 goal lead at half time. Driffield kept trying through the second half but conceded further goals and they fought to get back in before they scored their first goal of the season. The match ended 7-1.

In the second match against Selby, Driffield were stronger and more organised as their passing game and movement off the ball improved, a couple of good moves opening up a 2 goal lead before they were pegged back by counterattack from Selby, the match ending 2-2. A good day overall with some determination and effort despite the horrible weather!
