With a fast and furious start to the season, Barton took an early lead and scored their first goal in the first 2 minutes. However Driffield responded quickly with Erin driving the ball up the line to Debbie who struck it into the D, where Laura was positioned perfectly to score the goal.
Barton managed to break through Driffield’s defence, scoring 2 further goals before a further goal came from Driffield with the ball being moved up the pitch, a pass from Vicky to Sarah, who managed to find the back of the net. Unfortunately Barton managed to score again just before half time making the score going into half time 5-2.

In the second half everyone was feeling the pressure, but Driffield had started to gel and started strong, the ball was been passed around the pitch well and in the 45th minute Vicky showed her skill getting round several players and passing the ball to Debbie, who scored. Driffield held Barton at bay with some strong defending and great saves from Emily, right until 5 mins from the end of the game where Barton managed to score the final goal.
A 6-3 loss, however a great game and team performance from everyone.
Girlie of the game was Harriet, Donkey was Sarah.
