Driffield were met at home with opponents Horncastle. The first half of the match saw a strong attack, the midfield Amy, Hannah, Phoebe and Sophia ensured the ball travelled swiftly towards Horncastles defensive line. The first of many short corners was finished nicely with Amy finding the back of the net 15 minutes in. Sarah’s persistent drive of the baseline enabled Lauren to score from some fast passes across the D 27 minutes in, with Katie following with some strong shots on goal. Shanie scrambled to save strong goal-line threats from Horncastle. Unfortunately one goal managed to find the back of the net from a short corner straight into the left post.

The second half started with Driffield 2-1 up Charlotte, Lucy, Meg and Kirsty successfully cleared several attempts from Horncastle to break the Driffield defensive line preventing an equaliser.
