Driffield Ladies 1s still remain undefeated as they beat Leeds uni 1s 3-0.

After a debatable performance the following week, Ladies 1s got their act together this week and played together well as unit. With some great small-unit-play through the midfield from Charlotte Braidwood-Smith, Steph Robinson, Vicky Scott and Keira Dinsdale-Young, the ladies progressed aggressively up the pitch, threatening the opposition from the very start.

The first goal came from a fantastic ball in from Henri Williams taken on the volley by Charlotte and struck perfectly into the goal. Leading the 1s into half time 1-0 up.

The second half came with some counteracts from the Leeds uni side, dealt with calmly and efficiently by the strong defence of Henri Williams, Kate Moore, Holly Snaith and Ash Gate.

The second goal was set up through a ball from Vicky Scott into space for Emma Speake to pick up and deliver into Bry Sykes waiting on the keeper, who deflected the ball into the goal with ease.

The midfield and defence continued to defend with strength against some aggressive, agitated players, winning the ball and delivering it to the leading forwards, Emma Speake, Bry Sykes, Frankie Marsh and Millie Riby, to run on to.

After some missed chances, Keira Dinsdale-Young and Charlotte Braidwood-Smith passed the ball back and forth through the middle leading up the pitch with speed, Charlotte then delivered a ball into the D for Emma Speake to slam in, bringing the score to 3-0.
