On the 28th February, Driffield Ladies delivered a strong performance against Slazengers, securing an impressive 7–0 victory after a steady start to the match. The team built into the game well, showing great teamwork and control across the pitch.
The scoring opened with Charlotte, who finished a well-worked short corner routine with captain Fiona, a quick in-and-out move that showed excellent understanding between the pair and set the tone for the rest of the game.
Bry added two goals, clearly saving herself for an even bigger scoring run on Sunday, but still making a big impact with two well-taken finishes.
Hannah also found the net twice, scoring two great goals after strong attacking play and good movement in the circle.
Ato contributed another two goals, putting in a huge shift playing both midfield and forward, constantly tackling, winning the ball back, and driving the team forward.
A special mention goes to Emily Elliotte, who played some excellent balls out from the back line, helping to create many of the team’s chances and playing a key role in building several of the goals winning girlie.
Overall, a fantastic team performance and a well-deserved 7–0 win for Driffield Ladies 1s.
