The opener came from Bronwyn Walker-Rouse, who was perfectly placed to slot home a well-worked team move. Driffield's second followed shortly after, thanks to a moment of individual brilliance from Charlotte Braidwood-Smith.
The second half saw Driffield step up another gear. Dominating possession and territory, they kept Wakefield pinned in their own half for much of the 35 minutes. With Charlotte and Kate Moore pulling the strings in central midfield which earned them joint Players of the Match.
Four more goals followed in a commanding second-half display, with goals coming from Bry Holtby , Hannah A and two from Hannah Horsley .
Two of the goals from lovely worked short corners continuing Driffield’s success in this area.
Overall a strong all-round performance from the squad. Thanks to the Spread for the lovely Curry for our teas.
