Durham University 4's hosted Driffield in a thrilling and fast-paced match. The first half was a tightly contested affair, with both teams unable to break the deadlock, going into halftime at 0-0.
The intensity remained high in the second half, but an unfortunate foul by Driffield resulted in a penalty flick, which Durham converted to take the lead.
The penalty disrupted Driffield's rhythm, allowing Durham to add a second goal shortly after.
However, Driffield refused to give up, and in a brilliant solo effort, Pip Lucas scored from the top of the D, weaving past three defenders to reduce the deficit to 2-1.
Despite late efforts, Driffield couldn’t find an equalizer, and Durham held on for the win.
Girly honours were shared between Rebecca Lindsay and Pip Lucas for their exceptional work in midfield.
