Now is the time to get yourself passed. There are 12 courses (5 before Sept 10th) being run by England Hockey - all online so very easy to sit at home and complete the course. Once you have passed this course all it takes is one game being watched by the assessor (we've not heard of anyone that doesn't pass this) and then you are fully qualified. We have one space on Sept 10th with the assessor at Driffield, - again, how easy are we making it for you.

This season we are VERY short of umpires and if we all do this course then we would only have to umpire ONE (your choice) match per season. You don't even have to be assessed to be of value to your club as un-assessed umpires are allowed in certain leagues. We pay our umpires £15 per match officiated.
