Our Driffield Over 55 Ladies Masters team travelled to Lee Valley (the home of England Hockey and Olympics 2012) to play in the final of the Tier 2 competition against St Albans.

Having already beaten LX Ladies and Bretforton to get here they were determined to win the battle this year (having lost twice in the Over 45's competition previously).

If was hard fought battle with the half time score 1-1 and final score 2-2. So flicks ensued, with stalemate still after 5 flicks, it was down to sudden death where Fiona Tuplin, and Mieke Davison excelled in their deftness and Debs Nelson in goal saving the last flick from St Albans, delight was evident from all the players and those abroad unable to play.
