A tough game for Driffield ladies 3rd team against York ladies 6th team, with the final score reaching a 3-1 win for Driffield.

York managed to score a goal within the first half of the match, challenging Driffield with their great attackers and strong defenders. However in the second half of the game, Driffield managed to score 3 well deserved goals. Jennifer B being the first one to score with an amazing goal, lifting the teams spirit, Katherine G scoring during an outstanding short corner and Daisy H scoring with a superb strike towards the end of the second half.

Our defence played incredible, blocking some tricky passes from the York team; while our midfielders bridged the gap beautifully between the back and forward of our team, setting up some brilliant shots on goal for our forwards. Riona, our goalkeeper, saved some great shots, keeping the score in our favour, resulting in a great team effort on the pitch today.

Thank you to the umpires who we couldn’t play without and Deano at The Spread Eagle who provided our usual lovely teas.
